Operating EBITDA increased around 34% to ₹693 crore, while PAT increased to approximately ₹350–351 crore.

Food & FMCG revenue increased 22% year-on-year to approximately ₹1,726 crore, while Industry Essentials revenue increased 28%. Edible-oil volumes, however, grew only 2% during the quarter because of commodity-price volatility, supply-chain issues and inventory de-stocking.

Management expects edible-oil volume growth of around 5–6% for the remaining FY27 period, Industry Essentials volume growth of around 8–9%, and continued strong growth in Food & FMCG.

For the 2026 target framework, I use a FY27 base EPS assumption of ₹9.50.

Scenario

EPS Assumption

P/E Multiple

2026 Target

Bear

₹8.80

17x

₹150

Base

₹9.50

23x

₹219

Bull

₹10.00

27x

₹270

The base-case target of approximately ₹219 represents a moderate re-rating from the current valuation, while remaining below the broader FMCG industry’s reported P/E level of roughly 35x. AWL’s lower return ratios and commodity exposure justify a discount to premium FMCG companies.

Adani Wilmar Share Price Target 2027

For 2027, the key question is whether Food & FMCG becomes a larger contributor to earnings while edible oils and Industry Essentials maintain their volume momentum.

Management has stated that Food & FMCG should continue to grow at a mid-teen rate, while maintaining an EBITDA margin in the 3–4% range as the company continues investing in brands, distribution and new categories.

The company is also expanding its packaged-food portfolio through businesses such as GD Foods/Tops and the Madhur sugar brand. Madhur was reported to be selling around 15,000 tonnes per month, with management targeting approximately 20,000 tonnes per month and annual revenue of ₹700–800 crore.

For FY28, the base case assumes EPS of approximately ₹10.80.

Scenario

EPS Assumption

P/E Multiple

2027 Target

Bear

₹9.80

17x

₹167

Base

₹10.80

23x

₹248

Bull

₹12.00

27x

₹324

The 2027 base case therefore produces an estimated target of approximately ₹248.

Adani Wilmar Share Price Target 2030

The long-term case for AWL Agri Business is based on its transition from an edible-oil-heavy company toward a broader food and consumer-staples platform.

The company has reiterated a 2030 ambition of crossing ₹1 lakh crore in revenue and ₹4,000 crore in EBITDA. Management has indicated that annual capital expenditure of around ₹700 crore can be used as a modelling assumption, with investment required for additional edible-oil refining capacity and conversion of some food operations from contractual/tolling arrangements to owned manufacturing.

The company has also stated that its edible-oil refining capacity is currently operating at roughly 60–61% utilisation and could require expansion over the next few years.

For FY30, the base case assumes EPS of approximately ₹13.50.

This represents approximately 13.8% annual EPS growth from the FY26 EPS level of around ₹8.05. Food & FMCG Is the Main Diversification Opportunity

Food & FMCG revenue was approximately ₹6,473 crore in FY26 and increased 22% year-on-year in Q1 FY27 to ₹1,726 crore.

AWL is expanding beyond edible oils into:

Rice

Wheat flour

Pulses

Besan

Sugar

Soya nuggets

Convenience foods

Sauces and condiments

Pickles

Personal care

Premium and health-oriented products

The acquisition of GD Foods, owner of the Tops brand, gives AWL exposure to sauces, pickles, noodles, instant mixes and other value-added food categories.

3. Industry Essentials

Industry Essentials generated approximately ₹8,470 crore of revenue in FY26 and grew 11% year-on-year. The business includes oleochemicals and specialty products and is becoming another source of diversification.

In Q1 FY27, the segment delivered 13% volume growth and 28% revenue growth. Management expects approximately 8–9% volume growth with EBITDA of ₹3,000–₹3,500 per tonne.

4. Distribution and Alternate Channels

Distribution is a major competitive advantage.

The company reported retail reach of more than 26 lakh outlets, supported by more than 10,000 distributors and more than 110 stock points as of March 2026.

Digital channels are also expanding. Management reported strong growth in alternate channels, including e-commerce and quick commerce, during Q1 FY27.

Latest Financial Performance

FY26 provides the latest complete annual financial picture.

Metric

FY26

Direction / Comment

Revenue

₹74,731 Cr

Up about 17% YoY

Operational EBITDA

₹2,343 Cr

Down 6% YoY

PAT

₹1,045 Cr

Down about 15% YoY

FY26 EPS

~₹8.05

Lower than prior-year base

Operating Cash Flow

~₹3,928 Cr

Strong improvement

Free Cash Flow

~₹3,104 Cr

Strong positive FCF

ROE

~10%

Moderate

ROCE

~15–18% depending on methodology

Improved from FY24

Debt/Equity

~0.08–0.11x

Low leverage

Interest Coverage

~3.6x

Positive but not exceptionally high

FY26 operating cash flow was approximately ₹3,928 crore and free cash flow approximately ₹3,104 crore.

The company’s balance sheet also improved materially. Debt/equity fell from much higher levels in earlier years to roughly 0.08–0.11x by FY26, while net debt was negative according to several financial-data calculations.

One important point is that FY26 PAT fell despite strong revenue growth. Management attributed the year-on-year comparison partly to exceptional gains in the previous year’s base. Therefore, the improvement in Q1 FY27 profitability is important, but investors should monitor whether it continues across several quarters rather than extrapolating one quarter indefinitely.

Valuation Analysis

At approximately ₹180 per share, AWL’s valuation in September 2026 was roughly:

P/E: ~20–21x

P/B: ~2.2–2.3x

EV/EBITDA: ~8.5x

Market cap: ~₹23,500 crore

Its valuation is below several established premium FMCG companies. For example, Marico’s P/E was around 56x in late September 2026, while Patanjali Foods was around 21–22x.

However, a simple comparison with FMCG P/E multiples can be misleading because AWL still derives most of its revenue from a relatively low-margin, commodity-sensitive edible-oil business.

The key valuation question is therefore whether the Food & FMCG and Industry Essentials businesses can gradually increase their contribution to earnings.

Key Factors That Could Drive Adani Wilmar Share Price

Revenue Growth

Sustained 8–9% overall volume growth would provide a foundation for revenue expansion, while faster Food & FMCG growth could improve the overall mix.

Earnings Growth

The biggest potential valuation catalyst is sustained EPS growth rather than revenue growth alone. Improving margins and operating leverage could allow earnings to grow faster than sales.

Food & FMCG Expansion

Food & FMCG is strategically important because categories such as rice, sauces, pulses, convenience foods and packaged staples can potentially offer better growth characteristics than the traditional edible-oil business.

Madhur Integration

Management has targeted approximately ₹700–800 crore of annual revenue from the Madhur brand, with a target of scaling monthly volumes toward 20,000 tonnes.

Capacity Expansion

Management expects additional investment in edible-oil refining capacity as current capacity utilisation increases. It also intends to move some food operations from contractual/tolling manufacturing toward owned capacity.

Institutional Ownership

As of June 2026, promoter holding was approximately 56.94%. FII/FPI ownership was around 21.09%, while mutual-fund ownership was approximately 8.25%. FII holding declined modestly from the March 2026 level, while mutual-fund ownership increased slightly.

The promoter holding structure changed materially during FY26, with Lence Pte Ltd, a Wilmar subsidiary, holding 56.94% by March 2026.

Risks to the Adani Wilmar Share Price Target

Commodity Price Volatility

AWL’s edible-oil business is exposed to palm oil, soybean oil, sunflower oil and other commodity prices. India also remains significantly dependent on imported edible oils, increasing exposure to global prices, freight costs and currency movements.

Margin Pressure

AWL operates on relatively thin margins. Even small changes in raw-material costs or pricing can have a significant effect on earnings.

Food & FMCG Investment Phase

Food & FMCG is currently being prioritised for growth, distribution and brand investment. Management has indicated that margins in this business remain relatively modest while the company invests for scale.

Execution Risk

The 2030 ambition requires substantial growth in revenue, manufacturing capacity, distribution and higher-value products. Failure to execute could result in lower-than-assumed earnings.

Competitive Pressure

The Indian packaged-food and edible-oil markets are highly competitive, with large companies competing across oils, staples, packaged foods and consumer brands.

Regulatory Risk

Food businesses are exposed to food-safety regulations, labelling requirements, taxation changes, import duties and other regulatory developments.

Shareholding and Corporate Developments

Changes in promoter ownership, institutional ownership or other corporate developments can affect investor sentiment and the stock’s valuation independently of operating performance.

Is Adani Wilmar a Long-Term Growth Story?

The long-term investment case for AWL Agri Business depends on whether the company can successfully transform itself from a predominantly edible-oil company into a broader food and FMCG platform.

The company already has several important assets for that transition: the Fortune brand, a large distribution network, established sourcing infrastructure, Food & FMCG expansion, the Tops/GD Foods acquisition and the Industry Essentials business.

The financial position is also relatively conservative, with low debt compared with earlier years and strong FY26 operating cash flow.

At the same time, investors should not overlook the challenges. Edible oils remain the dominant business, margins are relatively thin, commodity prices can be volatile and the Food & FMCG expansion requires continued investment.

The company’s stated 2030 objective of crossing ₹1 lakh crore revenue and ₹4,000 crore EBITDA is ambitious and should be treated as a management objective rather than a guaranteed outcome.

For the base case in this analysis, EPS rising from approximately ₹8.05 in FY26 to ₹13.50 by FY30 is assumed. That requires sustained earnings growth and successful execution. The base-case ₹311 target therefore depends on both earnings growth and a moderate valuation re-rating rather than simply assuming that the current P/E will remain unchanged.

Adani Wilmar Share Price Target: Final Summary

Year

Bear Case

Base Case

Bull Case

2026

₹150

₹219

₹270

2027

₹167

₹248

₹324

2030

₹204

₹311

₹419

Key Takeaway

The base-case Adani Wilmar share price target is approximately ₹219 for 2026, ₹248 for 2027 and ₹311 for 2030 under the assumptions used in this analysis.

These numbers are not forecasts of where the stock must trade. They represent valuation outcomes if the assumed EPS trajectory and P/E multiples materialise.

The biggest variable to monitor is the transition toward higher-growth Food & FMCG businesses while maintaining profitability in the core edible-oil operation.

Frequently Asked Questions

1.
